Building Level[]

Rank Points[]

First of all, Rank Points may be misleading. Rank Points add to your City Score, not your Rank. Your Rank is based on your position in your World, which is in turn based on your City Score. Do not expect Rank Points to change your ranking by their quoted numbers!

The Rank Points for each building show their cumulative total and not their points for that particular level. For example, a level 10 Town Hall pays 75 Rank Points to bring its total to 300 (not 300 points above level 9). To find Rank Points earned for a particular level, subtract the current level from the next level's points.

Example: Town Hall level 10 = 300 RP, Town Hall level 9 = 225RP, therefore you will gain 75RP for leveling your Town Hall from 9 to 10.

Upgrading[]

Downgrading[]

You can reduce a building’s level by one by selecting it and then clicking the button at the bottom of the building information panel labelled “Downgrade to level N-1”, where N is the building’s current level.

The “Demolish” button will completely remove the building. For a level one building the “Downgrade…” button is replaced by a “Destroy this building” button (in addition to the Demolish button [why have both?]).

Downgrading takes half the time and refunds half of the resources of the corresponding upgrade. For example, upgrading a level two Shipyard costs 200w, 400s and takes 24 minutes. Downgrading a level three Shipyard will repay 100w, 200s and take 12 minutes.

Action Resource Cost Wood Resource Cost Stone Execution Time
Upgrade of lvl 2 Shipyard 200 400 24 minutes
Wood acquired Stone acquired
Downgrade of lvl 3 Shipyard 100 200 12 minutes
